From Inside, You’ve Got Allies: The Inner Zoo Workshop — Staying Grounded in Self-Worth Amid Uncertainty
Date and Time: 2026.10.13 14:00~17:00
Venue: IF Event Space, North Wing, Teaching & Research Building (next to Lo Chia-Lun Lecture Hall)
Leader: Zih-Ruei Ray Wu, Counselor & Psychotherapist
About the workshop:
Living abroad can feel heavy—not because you’re not trying hard enough, but because uncertainty is everywhere: academics, language pressure, cultural differences, loneliness, money, part-time work, and the big “what’s next?” Over time, it’s easy to tie self-worth to performance and keep pushing, even when you’re exhausted.
Join “From Inside, You’ve Got Allies: The Inner Zoo Workshop—Staying Grounded in Self-Worth Amid Uncertainty.” Through a gentle, playful experience with clay animal sculpting, you’ll create your own Inner Zoo—meeting the parts of you that protect, the parts that feel vulnerable, and the inner allies that carry your resources.
From inside, you’ve got allies. Let’s bring them to life together.
No advanced English or art skills are needed. You are welcome to participate at your own pace.
What you will take with you:
- A simple, usable framework to understand your stress responses through “inner allies” (no heavy theory)
- Your own completed Inner Zoo sculpture (a tangible reminder you can photograph and keep)
- A clearer understanding of how you protect yourself under uncertainty—and how to support yourself more wisely
This workshop is for you if you:
- Feel overwhelmed by academic, language, administrative, financial, or future-related uncertainty
- Work hard yet still experience self-doubt, comparison, or feeling “not enough”
- Enjoy learning through hands-on experience and creative expression (no art skills required)
